One recent clinical report on Pervistop™ describes a 39-year-old woman with a 9-year history of persistent HPV-16 infection with recurrent high-grade cervical lesions (up to HSIL/CIN3) despite three LEEPs and one laser conization. Due to this condition, she received a medical indication for hysterectomy. As it is an irreversible procedure and considering the fertile age of the patient, she decided to ask for another medical opinion, becoming the subject of this case report study.
She started oral supplementation with Pervistop for 8 weeks, taking 2 tablets per day :
- After treatment, Pap test and cervical biopsy showed only chronic cervicitis, with no intraepithelial or malignant lesions.
- At 6-month follow-up, colposcopy, Pap test and HPV-DNA test were all negative.
This favorable clinical course allowed the patient to avoid the hysterectomy that had been proposed as the only therapeutic option.
